Edison’s Co Brand Identity
I was a contract designer at Edison’s Co in June 2015 after graduating from UC Berkeley before becoming fulltime and as one of the Partners. I was commissioned to initiate and develop Edison’s first brand identity. Edison’s was inspired to become the next innovation company. Like Thomas Edison, Edison’s not only aspires to become a marketing guru like Thomas Edison was, but also an innovation hub for creative minds to thrive, invent, and inspire others.
After initial meetings, discussion and agreement with the internal team of Edison’s Co on concept development and brand story, I took the lightbulb imagery and created a series of initial sketches. Through 4 different units of iterations, I went on to the discussion behind story concept, color scheme, typography, and identity in context.
