HTC Vive Logo Pitch

In November 2015, I was invited by HTC through Edison's Co to pitch an logo redesign concept to their HTC Vive VR team within 2 days. Given the short amount of time, I conducted research on current VR market. I found inspirations from the controllers, which distinquish Vive from other VR devices like Oculus, Samsung Gear, and Microsoft Hololense. 

What was lacking for Vive was a brand identity, a story that connects HTC Vive’s mission with their consumers, and an approachable logo mark that celebrates technology, equality and solidarity. The logo concept did not reach the final round due to its unintended similarity to Open Table’s logo redesign, yet it helps create a friendly relationship with the HTC board of directors.
